About the founders: StartAbroad was born from Anna and Zach's personal experiences of moving abroad and understanding the challenges that come with it. With over 20 years of combined experience, having each moved internationally to six different countries, and having supported hundreds of people move abroad, they know firsthand how overwhelming international relocations can be. Anna brings a wealth of expertise in international HR, having led HR operations for a global NGO and a tech startup across 20 countries, along with an MBA in entrepreneurship from IE University in Madrid. Zach’s background in developing country contexts includes serving as a Peace Corps volunteer, scaling agroforestry programs in Africa, and raising $30 million for sustainable projects.
