After searching for years for my dream location, I was drawn to and ultimately settled in the port town of Setúbal, Portugal. This charming town offered everything I had been looking for: great restaurants, reliable public transportation, and minimal hills.
After six months of renting, I found my dream apartment in just three weekss. My criteria included an apartment with an elevator, a large terrace, and proximity to stores and public transportation.
Fortunately, the apartment I discovered met all of these requirements. However, it needed a lot of love and attention. I quickly connected with members of the community who had experience in renovations and were eager to share their knowledge.
My renovation turned out to be a complete gut job, and it was an incredibly rewarding experience. Throughout the process, I learned a great deal, both about home improvement and about the importance of community support.
